Formulation Guidelines
- Solubility Profile: It is poorly soluble in water but fully miscible with ethanol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, and glycerol. It is often best incorporated via the oil phase or a glycol pre-mix.
- Stability Warning: Formulators must carefully monitor for p-Anisic acid crystallization. This process can be irreversible and typically occurs due to overdosage or sudden, sharp shifts in the formulation’s pH.
- Processing: Fully cold processable. It does not require heating to remain active or stable within the formula.
