Spectrastat G2 Natural MB is a 100% natural, biodegradable, broad-spectrum preservation system (INCI: Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Glyceryl Caprylate, Glycerin). Derived from sustainable palm and coconut feedstocks. It offers a broad spectrum protection by combining a unique organic chelator with multifunctional esters.

• Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: Provides robust protection against bacteria, yeasts, and moulds through a synergistic “hurdle technology” approach.

• Neutral pH Stability: Unlike most organic acids (such as Benzoic or Sorbic acid), Caprylhydroxamic Acid (CHA) remains undissociated at neutral pH. This allows the system to remain highly effective at pH 7.0

• Superior Fungal Control: CHA acts as a high-performance organic chelator that specifically targets the iron needed for mould and yeast growth, effectively starving fungal contaminants.

• Bacteriostatic & Skin-Conditioning: Glyceryl Caprylate provides targeted activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria while simultaneously acting as a skin-conditioning emollient and co-emulsifier.

• Water Activity Reduction: The Glycerin carrier not only facilitates easy cold-process incorporation but also helps reduce the formulation’s water activity, creating an additional hurdle for microbial growth.
