The mastic component is an aqueous distillate of Chios Mastiha Oil sourced from Greece, contributing moisturisation and skin conditioning. Quinic acid, extracted from the bark of the Cinchona tree, functions as a pH adjuster
To use it as a broad spectrum protector use over 5%. At typical use levels below 6%, the concentrations of linalool and limonene present in the mastic distillate fall well below EU allergen declaration thresholds for both rinse-off and leave-on products, meaning no allergen labelling is required.
