E-Leen® GC8

E-Leen GC 8 is a multifunctional, non-ionic blend engineered to provide broad-spectrum protection by disrupting microbial cell membranes. This mechanical mode of action is non-specific, making it highly effective against a wide range of organisms while reducing the likelihood of microbial resistance. It is free of fragrance components, making it ideal for mild and low-odor formulations.

Key Benefit: A “self-preserving” solution that combines antimicrobial boosting, skin moisturization, and re-fatting properties into a single, pH-versatile ingredient.

Performance & Biological Activity

  • Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: Demonstrates particular strength against yeasts and bacteria, maintaining efficacy up to the maximum recommended pH (register to find out)
  • MIC Performance: Showcases notably strong inhibitory activity against aureus , C. albicans , and A. brasiliensis.
  • Challenge Test Success: Met ISO 11930 Criteria A at 1.0% in O/W emulsions (pH 5.5) and at 1.5% at pH 7.0.
  • Surfactant Challenges: In more difficult systems, such as green shampoos based on non-ionic surfactants, the maximum recommended concentration  may be required for complete protection.
