This “stressing” of the bacteria induces a high yield of antimicrobial peptides and secondary metabolites. The process is further enhanced by Lysozyme-facilitated cell lysis and the addition of biotransformed undecylenates derived from castor oil, creating a highly efficacious, water-soluble system.
