While widely known as a preservative, p-Anisic acid possesses a “superpower” in its ability to act as a chelator (sequestering agent).

  • Microbial Metabolism Disruption: By binding to essential metal ions (such as iron, zinc, or manganese), it starves microorganisms of the nutrients required for vital biological processes.
