Cosphaderm® LA-T RSPO MB (INCI: Glycerin, Aqua, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Levulinate) is a 100% plant-derived, water-soluble antimicrobial blend. It combines the skin-conditioning and antibacterial power of Levulinic Acid and its sodium salt with a high-purity Glycerin base. Sourced from sustainable sugar cane and Mass Balanced certified vegetable oils, this liquid blend is designed for formulators seeking a “clean-label,” multifunctional humectant system that simultaneously provides antibacterial protection.

  • Strong Antibacterial & Yeast Control: The blend provides reliable protection against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as common yeasts. It is an ideal core component for a natural “hurdle” preservation strategy.

Formulation Guidelines

  • The “Mould Gap” Strategy: While strong against bacteria and yeast, this blend is not a standalone broad-spectrum preservative. To pass a full ISO 11930 challenge test (specifically for Aspergillus brasiliensis), it must be combined with a mould-active partner such as Cosphaderm® pAS natural.
